Academy Policy

Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to each DCPA athlete and are consented to by each athlete’s parent or guardian.

Dwain Chambers Performance Academy (DCPA)

Changes to these terms and conditions require written consent, in advance, from DCPA management.

  1. 1

An application for a place at DCPA will only be accepted if accompanied by payment of the relevant fees to DCPA.

  2. 2

Parents/guardian's must pay the fees every month by standing order and at the start of every month.

  3. 3

In the event and athlete joins DCPA in the middle of the month, a PAYG plan will be put in place until the start of the following month. PAYG payments will be priced at £13.50 per child / per session (plus PAYG rate for £5.20/session LV entrance).

  4. 4

The DCPA agreement is a monthly rolling contract; a parent/guardian must give one month's written notice before withdrawing. After notice, the following month's fees must be paid whether the athlete attends or not.

  5. 5

If an athlete has left DCPA and wants to rejoin within 3 months of the leaving month, they will have to pay a rejoining fee of £38.

  6. 6

Academy fees cannot be refunded for missed classes due to holidays or sickness. DCPA continues through school holidays. Subscription fees are required to hold the athlete's allocated place.

  7. 7

The Academy has two set operational breaks: the first week of September and the Christmas/New Year festive period. Specific dates will be shared with parents/guardians closer to the time.

  8. 8

If the athlete can't attend their normal session, that session must be taken in the same week and can't be transferred to the following week.

  9. 9

DCPA reserves the right to exclude students from lessons. Please see the separate disciplinary and injury policies for further details.

  10. 10

DCPA athletes participate at their own risk and are obliged to inform DCPA and its staff of any existing injuries or medical condition.

  11. 11

DCPA athletes are obliged to take care of their own belongings. DCPA can accept no liability for lost or damaged belongings.

  12. 12

The liability of DCPA and its staff is restricted to academy time only and then only to gross negligence or intent.

  13. 13

Parents/guardian's give permission for DCPA to hold information/data processed under the GDPR as per our privacy policy.

  14. 14

Parents/guardian's give permission to take and use photographs/video of their child for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the Group's aims.

  15. 15

Athletes under the age of 16 should be collected by a responsible adult. Written consent is required for any athlete to leave a DCPA session unaccompanied.
